Go Big on National Donut Day!

June 3, 2015

Sure, you can just walk into a Krispy Kreme on Friday, June 3 and walk out with a free donut, but why does National Donut Day have to end there?

Established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army, this sweet celebration was created to honor the women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I, and we think there should be a drink you can wash those treats down with.

Rich and utterly intoxicating, our Cocktail of the Month is a fine partner to all donut flavors, plus it’s the perfect antidote to the inevitable sugar coma.

Watch the video and get the recipe for how to make our Espresso Martini below.

*2 oz. Vodka
*1 oz. Kahlua
*0.5 oz. Espresso
*Ice Cubes
*Chocolate Syrup
*Martini Glass
*Cocktail Shaker

*Fill cocktail shaker with ice cubes
*Add 2 oz. vodka
*Add 1 oz. Kahlua
*Add 0.5 oz. espresso
*Rim martini glass with chocolate syrup
*Shake up the mixture, pour into martini glass and enjoy with your donut!
